At its meeting on 23.09.2009, Wednesday (Protocol Nr. 8) the Holy Synod [of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church - Bulgarian Patriarchate] in reduced headcount, in the absence for health reasons of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Maxim, opened its session. The synodal prelates who attended, were: Neophyte of Ruse - chairing the meeting, Gregory of Veliko Tarnovo, Nathanael of Nevrocope, Ignatius of Pleven.

In an address to the Holy Synod: Report Nr. 686/10.ІХ.2009 by the Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod - Bishop Naum of Stoby along with an attached letter from Mrs. Vesela Vatseva, Manager of "Advertising Agency B" Ltd., asking that in the campaign for tolerance towards refugees who seek salvation in Bulgaria to be included also the Bulgarian clergy with a message of peacefulness, respect and mercy to the neighbour in need.

The Holy Synod DECIDED:


Mrs. Vatseva has to address the State Agency for refugees in Bulgaria.
